We often
find ourselves in the situation where we are asked to design a new innovatory
solution.
This is the type of task that we respond to in a very positive way. It
is not just that we are able to
bring to bear the latest research findings on our thinking, but that we
are also able to employ a
creative approach to our design work that allows out of box
thinking and questions to be asked
that might not have been asked before.
We do not take for granted traditional assumptions of what works in the
learning environment.
If value for money is to be gained by the client, our aim is to maximise
the impact of every pound
spent and this might involve challenging some of the existing and historic
ways of doing things.
Sometimes organisations can get used to doing things in a certain way
where everyone feels
comfortable with what to do and when to do it. Our ability to look independently
at what is happening,
check evidence of added value against what is aspired for often enables
us to identify gaps in
performance that can be closed through the use of carefully designed changes
to practice.
We understand that organisations and those who are linked to them sometimes
find new ideas
challenging and perhaps threatening. We are able to work with staff or
third party clients to create the
conditions through which new ideas and ways of working are located in
a social context such that they
become more attractive and personally relevant. We understand the mechanics
of innovation along
with issues concerning the sustainability of change and are able to help
clients create the conditions
for new thinking to become embedded into organisational culture.
