Communication
is a critical element of the ESD service whether this is through the relationship
with
our clients or through our material and project activities. For us, communication
fulfils a range of
functions including the building and maintenance of a relationship with
the client, the creation and
conveyance of a solution to a clients specification along with the
creation and transfer of ideas,
concepts and information that forms the design and implementation format.
When working with clients on the creation of learning situations, we develop
individually tailored
communication solutions to meet the individual needs of clients Consequently
we select the most
appropriate mix of communication media to meet the competence development
programme being
developed. We can adapt the media to meet the needs of those with relatively
low basic skills against
those with advanced skills. We are able to adapt the language format to
meet cultural contexts and
see this as an important part of the process of engagement and creation
of meaningful learning.
We can utilise a range of paper-based communication media allied to the
provision of IT based solutions.
We use cognitive processing models to inform out communications approaches
so that we can enable
each learner to utilise their strengths in approaches to learning. Our
training and personal development
programmes are all creatively designed to be participative and develop
the communication skills of
participants. Where appropriate we will utilise translated materials and
foreign language formats.
